Warranty Statement

Starkway India Private Limited stands behind the quality of its flash products and warrants to the original end-user customer that all products are free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use during the warranty period. Starkway, at its discretion, will either repair or replace any part of its products found defective due to improper workmanship or materials. Repaired parts or replacement products will be provided without charge for parts and labor.

Exclusions from Warranty Coverage

This limited warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Improper installation, accidents, or negligence.
  • Abuse, misuse, unauthorized disassembly, repair, or modification.
  • Unusual physical or electrical stress or interference.
  • Failure or fluctuation of electrical power, lightning, static electricity, fire, or acts of God.
  • Altered, smeared, removed, damaged, or lost warranty or authenticity stickers.
  • Incorrect, damaged, or unclear product serial numbers.
  • Purchases from unauthorized resellers/retailers.

Warranty Claim Requirements:

For warranty claims, customers must provide:

  • Proof of place and date of purchase: Warranty card or online product registration.
  • DOA (Dead on Arrival) products should be returned with the original package.
  • Products must bear Starkway labels.
  • Undamaged outward appearance.

Duration of Warranty:

Consumer products are not suitable for long-term and continuous use, including security monitoring devices and loop recording. The Dataship SSDs warranty is covered by a limited warranty since the date of purchase or the Terabytes Written (TBW) threshold, whichever occurs first. Without registration within 90 days of purchase, a 1-year limited warranty applies. With registration, a 5-year limited warranty is provided.

Data Backup and Recovery:

The warranty does not cover recovery or backup of digital data. Customers are strongly advised to save (back up) any programs or digital data before sending products for warranty service. Starkway does not guarantee the completeness of data stored during the RMA process and is not liable for damages or losses during the RMA or delivery process.

Product Replacement:

Starkway will either replace the product with a refurbished or new one or repair it to be functionally equivalent. The repaired product received may not be the original one sent. In the case of product discontinuity, Starkway reserves the right to replace it with a comparable one.

Warranty Claim Procedures:

  • Return to the authorized Starkway dealer or distributor.
  • If returning directly to the Starkway support center, obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number through the Starkway website and follow the provided product return procedures.
